Abstract
This study investigates whether digitalisation and macroeconomic variables affect household debt in Southeast Asian countries. Using empirical evidence from the region, the research examines the relationship between digital transformation, economic growth, inflation, interest rates, and household borrowing patterns. The findings reveal that digitalisation significantly influences access to financial services and household credit, while macroeconomic conditions play a crucial role in determining debt sustainability. The study provides important insights for policymakers and financial institutions seeking to promote responsible borrowing and financial stability in Southeast Asia.
