Impact of Coal Rents, Transportation, Electricity Consumption, and Economic Globalization on Ecological Footprint in the USA

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of coal rents, transportation, electricity consumption, and economic globalization on the ecological footprint in the United States. Using empirical econometric analysis, the research evaluates how energy consumption, industrial activity, and international trade influence environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that coal dependency and increased electricity consumption contribute to ecological degradation, while sustainable transportation policies and cleaner energy transitions can reduce environmental impacts. The study emphasizes the importance of green energy investments, low-carbon economic policies, and sustainable resource management for improving ecological performance and supporting long-term environmental sustainability.
